This year's festival line-up is the strongest ever. Get ready for a weekend
packed with Feature Films, Short Film Programs, Filmmaker's Presentations,
Workshops, Forums, and much more.

The festival will kick off with the Opening Night film "Suits on the Loose"
on Wednesday, January 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Scera Center for the Arts in
Orem (745 South State Street) and will continue through Saturday, January
21 with the closing night film "The Return" and a screening of the British
film "Powerless."

Here are a few of the other highlights:

FEATURE FILMS: Suits on the Loose, Everything You Want, Piccadilly Cowboy,
The Return, Believe, Take a Chance, Propensity, Powerless, Salt Lake to
Mesa, The Saxon Chronicles

SHORT FILM PROGRAMS: There will be four short film programs playing at
Friday and Saturday at 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. The line-up will be
announced by tomorrow, Friday.

PRESENTATIONS: Richard Dutcher (States of Grace), Kurt Hale (Church Ball),
Ben Gourley (Moving McAllister), Tim Skousen (The Sasquatch Dumpling Gang),
Dave Hunter (Halestorm Entertainment), Rich Fassio (Modern Digital), Brad
Plowman and Amber Hawkins (Fuel Marketing), Charles Cranney and Dennis
Packard (LifeSong).

WORKSHOPS: ACTOR'S: Kirby Heyborne (Best Two Years, Saints & Soldiers);
SCREENWRITER'S: Matt Whittaker (Work and the Glory 2 and 3, Saints &
Soldiers), John Moyer (Mobsters and Mormons, Singles Ward); CINEMATOGRAPHY:
T.C. Christensen (Work and the Glory, Joseph Smith: Prophet of the
Restoration, Testaments)

FRIDAY, THE 13TH: A FILMMAKING MARATHON TO REMEMBER
----------------------------------------------------------

The LDS FILM FESTIVAL is launching its 4TH ANNUAL 24-HOUR FILMMAKING
MARATHON tomorrow, Friday, January 13, at 10:00 a.m. at the Scera Center.
Get together with a group of friends and be part of this exhilarating
competition.

Last year's winner of the 24-hour filmmaking marathon, "Tolerance" by Mark
Hedengren, is an official selection for this year's SLAMDANCE Film
Festival. Mark won several awards with the film at festivals nationwide.
"Tolerance" was Mark's first film! You can do it too! Become an
award-winning filmmaker in only 24 hours!

No pre-registration is necessary. Just sign-up at 10.00 a.m. on FRIDAY,
JANUARY 13, at the Scera Center for the Arts in Orem, Utah (745 South State
Street). You will receive a theme for a short film that you have to finish
within 24 hours.

On SATURDAY, JANUARY 14, no later than 10.30 a.m. you hand in your finished
film. All films will be screened and judged at the 5TH LDS FILM FESTIVAL on
Thursday, January 19, at 7.30 p.m.
