Utah's full-time employed women are paid an average of $31,183 per year, far short of the $45,028 average for men, according to a report released Monday.
The National Partnership for Women & Families, in conjunction with AAUW, said that the gap equates to food for two years, mortgage and utility payments for 10 months, family health insurance premiums for five years, rent for 19 months or 4,500 gallons of gasoline.
The National Partnership said that in the U.S., women are paid 77 cents to a man's dollar.
